VCs OF ARUA Member-Universities Arrive UNILAG Ahead of 2023 Bienniel Int’l Conference
The ViceChancellors of member-universities of African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) have arrived the University of Lagos, Nigeria, ahead of the body’s 2023 Biennial International Conference scheduled to hold from Wednesday, November 15 to Friday, November 17, 2023.
The visiting vice-chancellors have, since their arrival, been involved in a series of discussions as part of ARUA Board of Directors’ Meeting, at the Senate Chamber, Senate House, UNILAG. The Board has the Vice-Chancellor of Makerere University, Professor Barnabas Nawangwe as Chair as well as the Principal and Vice-Chancellor of Rhodes University, Professor Sizwe Mabizela as co-Chair.
Other eggheads currently being hosted by Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, OON, FAS on the Akoka campus of UNILAG include Professor Ernest Aryeteey who is the Secretary General of ARUA as well as:

Also in attendance at the Board meeting are Professor Bola Oboh (Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics and Research, UNILAG) and Dr. Nomakwezi Mzilikazi of Rhodes University.
The African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) comprises seventeen (17) prominent research institutions (including UNILAG) across ten (10) African countries. The Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Biennial International Conference of the organization is scheduled as follows:
